All is set and all hands on deck. Everyone is Manning their battle stations, but the 2023 election is not a battle. It is a war fought on many fronts and every battle is critical. It is for this reason that we the people of Nasarawa West are coming out in our numbers to vote for Arc. Shehu Tukur as a quintessential reinforcement for our quest towards achieving good governance.
I want to start this article with a brief introduction of Shehu Tukur (ASAT). Shehu Tukur was born on the 7th March 1969 in Keffi, Nasarawa State. He attended Abdu Zanga Primary School from 1975 – 1981 and Government College Keffi from 1981-1986 and was admitted into Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna in 1987 and graduated with B. Tech and M. Tech in Architecture in 1995. He was elected as Student’s Representative member and later Speaker of Student’s Union of FUT Minna, during his studentship in the University. He has been a Private Sector player as a businessman and Consultant Architect since leaving FUT Minna. He is the Principal Partner of Canonic Associates and Managing Director/CEO of USV Development Services Ltd and has about 100 highly skilled and vastly trained staff. He has been providing effective administrative and professional leadership in the discharge of his roles. He is innovative, resourceful, flexible and adaptive with strong character, dedication, positive and strong work ethics.
Arc Shehu Ahmed Tukur has attended conferences, seminars and workshops both locally and internationally. Some selected projects he has handled include: Design and Supervision of Karu and Lafia Bus Terminals, Abaji Trailer Park, Markets, Shipway, Windlass House, library complex, Marine Engineering Workshop, shopping mall and Warehouse Oron. Also, design of Academic Buildings for both Public and Private Institutions across Nigeria. He has also been engaged in the production of Development Plans of Industrial Complexes and was the prime consultant for the development plans of Lafia Airport Kwandare, Tertiary Institutional projects are among many hundreds of successfully completed projects across Nigeria. Shehu Tukur has always been a man of reputable character and has always been an integral part of the Modern Nasarawa State.
Nasarawa West needs a person of competence and compassion, someone who is very selfless with a track record of life service.
We are in need of a “Man” not just a Senator, a purposeful leader with his own mind and conscience to operate.
Arc. Shehu Tukur is a man of integrity, a technocrat and a leader who would not give anyone room for long and unnecessary guesses as his actions and committed leadership would provide evidence too sharp to be blurred by any cynicism.
The qualities we should be looking for in the upcoming elections are people who can build our economy and move its citizens out of poverty.
We must be resolute in participation and engagement with the political process. We must identify credible candidates and rally behind them as the country is currently in urgent need of rescue.
Arc. Shehu Tukur is a breath of fresh air, a leader that knows and understands the problems, a clear headed leader resolute in solving the problems of people.
We must work together and combine forces across religious and ethnic divides to make sure Arc. Shehu Tukur emerges in the upcoming elections for the sake of our dear state and country at large.
