Gunmen have killed 10 persons and injured 19 others during a cultural festival in Chando Zerreci community in Irigwe Chiefdom of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau.
Mr Lawrence Zango, the National Publicity Secretary, Irigwe Youth Movement, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Jos.
Zango said that criminals launched the attack on Saturday night during the annual ritual festival of ‘Zerreci’, which usually ushers them into the new farming season.
Zongo, who condemned and described that act as ”sad and unfortunate”, added that the injured are currently receiving treatment at Enos Hospital Miango.
He called on the government at all levels and the security agencies to find lasting solution to the incessant attacks that usually lead to loss of lives and property.
”The government has a responsibility to promote and protect human rights, including the right to life, and a duty to protect civilians from attacks by taking effective measures to prevent and deter attacks on our people.”
“The government must as a matter of urgency investigate the attack in Irigwe land and bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure that families and other victims are adequately compensated.
“Brutal attacks on our communities are becoming rampant and frequent and this is unacceptable.
”Government must take more concrete steps to protect lives and property across Iregwe chiefdom and neighboring communities,” he said.
Zango also appealed to the International community to come to the aid of the people and to support them and address the huge humanitarian challenges caused by the attacks.
ASP Ubah Ogaba, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Police command in the state, confirmed the attack, adding that the command had mobilised armed officers to the place to restore normalcy.
He called on residents of the area and Plateau in general to remain calm and law abiding, adding that security agencies are working seriously to ensure their safety.

The organizers and team members of Mr and Miss Unity Plateau State today made this known at a meeting with the participants of the second edition of Mr and Miss Unity Plateau State 2022. At Golden Bide Suite, Rayfield Jos.
The participants were carefully selected after the audition, were each interested participant sent in a short video introducing him/herself and stating the reason why he or she feels they should be the winners of Mr and Miss Unity Plateau State 2022.
The convener of the pageantry, CEO Finine Global Concept, Mr Joseph Ezekiel welcomed each participants and gave room for introduction, the team members introduced themselves.

Miss Dimfat explain the score points of the pageantry which carries a total of 100 marks, the pageantry points will include camp activities, tally votes, stage appearances/questions, and sells of tickets.
Barr. Stephen brief the participants on all legal terms guiding the pageantry, he also encourage participants to take all precautionary measures in ensuring they protect the name of the brand and also their own personal integrity.

Mr Daniel Dalyop and Miss Endurance Ezekiel, the Camp and Cat walk Instructors gave an in-depth explanation about the camp activities, stating that online voting (Tally Vote) will commence 1st April, 2022 and will last for a month, then camp activities will start on Friday 27th May, 2022, they also charged and encouraged all participants to prepare and be ready with their pet project proposal.

The Police in Kano State have arrested a teenager, aged 17, for allegedly removing the eyeball of a 12-year-old boy.
Spokesman of the state police command, SP Abdullahi Haruna-Kiyawa, confirmed the development.
Specifically, he told newsmen on Wednesday in Kano that the incident occurred on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Further, the Kano Police PRO added that the victim was seen by the roadside without a right eyeball and with blood coming out of the eye.
Haruna-Kiyawa said that the Commissioner of Police, Sama’iala Shuaibu-Dikko, mobilised a team of police personnel to the scene and the victim taken to a hospital.
“The police rushed the victim to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, Kano…Doctors confirmed that the eyeball was forcefully removed with an object.
“The victim was admitted at the hospital, while the police had, since then, launched an investigation,” he said.
Equally important, the police spokesman said that the teenager suspect was arrested by the police; with help of a vigilante group in that area. He said that the suspect confessed to committing the offence.
“The suspect told police that he lured the boy to a place; tightened his hands and used sharp object to remove his right eyeball,” he said.
Haruna-Kiyawa said that the police further asked the teenager why he committed the act.
“He (the suspect) said that it was an elderly woman who instructed him to bring an eyeball of a human being to make a charm that would make him to be disappearing.
“The woman had also been arrested,” he said.
The police spokesman said that the case had been transferred to the state Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for further investigation; adding that the suspects would be charged to court.
He called on the public to be watchful about happenings in their surroundings; even as he urged them to immediately report any criminal activity to the police for prompt action.

Following a series of unfortunate events, our team have garnered information and we have cause to believe that the Leadership of the BLW (Believer’s Love World), London, England a branch of the Christ Embassy Church have taken the turn for the worse as they have conducted Business with a construction company called GPLANET CONSTRUCTION LTD fraudulently, which has led to an accrued Debt of over £150,000 and counting as the days pass.
Our team have perused Documents, copies of messages containing conversations, timelines and agreements of the working contract between BLW and GPLANET has indicated the bad habit and unprofessional business practice of the ZONAL pastor(Anthony Aduroja) and his representatives Mr Victor Ukuejubola and Mr Hezekiah Esedafe of the Believers Love World in London, a brand owned by the famous Christ Embassy to a building construction firm GPLANET Construction Ltd in the past 11 months and counting.
It was further gathered from a reliable source that this particular incident revealed a lot of dubious actions from the Zonal Pastor and his representatives regarding this particular transaction between Believers Love World UK Zone 2 Ltd (Christ Embassy) and GPLANET Construction Ltd.
The construction contract which was given to Gplanet Construction Ltd was to refurbish an Old Methodist Church in London from bottom up to present world class status.
Gplanet Construction wrote a letter to Believers Love World on 30th November, 2021 in furtherance to multiple communications via emails, team meetings, telephone calls and chats, referring to them to all previous communications and contracts and costings for the purpose of the construction agreement, accruals and third Party engagements.
The GPLANET construction company confirm that from February 2021 to date, They have performed their obligation under the agreements and contract between BLW UK Zone 2 Ltd and Gplanet Construction LTD. We have also seen pictures to this effect that strongly suggest massive work has been done to about 89.9% completion.
The GPLANET Construction Firm have communicated with BLW (Believers Love World) consecutively as regards the progress report and details of fixtures/replacements/Construction carried out on the allocated site,as well as all issues/concerns addressed during Construction.
Gplanet Construction put Believers Love World on notice that they have consistently breached all agreements and contracts relating to the above project, however this effort has proved futile.
It is necessary to note that the Zonal Pastor,bragged on several occasions saying, ” I have done all Pastor Chris Oyakhilome sent me to London to do,I have healed the sick, cured the blind and raised the dead making us more popular than we were except providing a befitting place of worship.” Pastor Anthony Aduroja went further to Garner sympathy by pleading with the GPLANET Construction Ltd team to come to his rescue as he had a very tight budget to carry out this task.
After auditing the structure, the GPLANET team stated their terms of engagement as well as the Cost and Variation involved in such a herculean task primarily because of the status of the Old Methodist Building. (These buildings are usually referred to as Conservatory Building. Also, the building had been abandoned for over 10 years. This means that, their structures allow for little or no adjustments over time. The structures are designed in a particular building design and it remains that way for the lifetime of the building. The best practice is usually maintenance of the existing structure and design)
GPLANET has also encountered legal and financial issues with her 3rd Party contractors as a result of delayed payments and closure of the site/construction equipments by Believers love World under the instruction of Pastor Anthony Aduroja.
This move has left the company accruing expenses and handicap to executing new frontiers and contracts as a result of the following:
Tied down capital and Profit by the Believers Love World on the above mentioned Construction Contract.
2.Disagreements and tainted goodwill/credibility as a result of the funds, equipment and Human resources involved in the project.
GPLANET Construction Ltd has been forced to downsize her staff strength immensely because of the backlog on salaries and unavailability of resources to run the day to day activities of the firm. Operations have been brought to an absolute halt.
It is worthy to note that, the Zonal Pastor of Believers Love World, connived with members of his staff to evade the contract signing for this project on several occasions by concocting stories of absence, a busy schedule and many more, with the regular failed promise to sign on arrival to London from all false engagements mentioned. Ladies and Gentlemen, this “signing” process never occured, he deferred it up until the project was almost at completion and GPLANET decided to halt construction to address the matters arising.

Reports from Daily Trust indicates that an alleges discrimination is ongoing in JUTH hospital on the basis of tribe and religion.
The Daily Trust reporter claimed he disguised as a patient and he also witnessed the same experience. According to him, some patients were turned back as a result of this. VPN photo journalist took time out in JUTH to catch reality of the situation in JUTH from observation many whom the reports claimed are discriminated upon are seen accessing services.

“I write this piece of letter not to cause any chaos or to escalate the speculations by the Daily Trust newspaper, particularly the lead story on front page of Saturday Trust. The Story was on the alleged discrimination of Hausa/Fulani Patients in filling of forms at GOPD.
In a viral video, A Nurse was seen addressing some patients and telling them about their system in JUTH that’s programmed which recognized four Ethnic Groups in Jos North. Is that a Crime? Is Jos North a no man’s Land? Since Justice Nikki Toby’s Commission of Inquiry,it was stated clear that those Ethnic Groups are the origin of Jos North.
Coming back to JUTH,as a resident of Nukpis,the Host Community of the Hospital,since 2007 when the Hospital moved to her permanent site,come rain come sunshine,patients always troop in within and outside the state and always visit the Hospital for medical services, irrespective of their Religion,Ethnic and Political inclinations, what so many people don’t ask is that,is the hospital sending them back because they are Hausa Fulani,Muslim Or still treat them? The dimensions the whole scenario is being handled and by Daily Trust,MURIC and other religious organizations is misleading and appears as if the Hospital is denying them treatment and so many Nigerians are being misled,even today,there is a letter published by daily Trust written by one Maryam Baba Mohammed all away from London and was titled. Where is Humanity in JUTH? If Patients are being discriminated base on their state of origin, religion or tribe.
Why will Daily Trust is still publishing such letters by those that are even outside the country and do so in order to push for religion and Ethnic disharmony without getting their facts? Why not Bingham UniversityTeaching Hospital,Our Lady of Fatima, Plateau state Specialist Hospital? Which belong to ECWA,Roman Catholic Churches and state Government of Plateau state respectively if truly Plateau state or Natives want to segregate patients base on their religion or Ethnic affiliations.
All those Hospitals are giving equal treatments to patients irrespective of where they come from. The statistics in JUTH shows that Muslims and non indigenes are more in number that visits the Hospital on daily basis to receive treatments.
Never the less,the Hospital management had since debunked the said story and the Nurse that appeared on such purported viral video through a press conference by the Hospital Acting Chief Medical Director. He further stated that,they will not rest on their oars to sanction any of their staff if found wanting in such act.
Calling on the investigation of the management staff of the Hospital is baseless and should stop forthwith. Unless there is something else Daily Trust and such Religious organizations are hiding away from the Hospitable and peaceful Citizens of Plateau State
The School of Medical Laboratory Technology that is at the same premises with the Hospital is accommodating more Muslim students than Christians or Natives of Plateau state. Daily Trust should do more thorough research and ascertained more facts about JUTH and equal treatments on the Hospitals in Plateau state and other Institutions. A part from Patients,the Hospital College of Medicine,Nursing and Students on House Manship,internships from Kano,Bauchi,Gombe,Jigawa,Taraba and all other parts of the country are residing within the Community to carry out their assignments and studies without any discrimination.
What we need now in Nigeria is peace and unity not such innuendos and inciting stories”.
