Buhari Swears in 6 new Permanent Secretaries

President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn-in six newly appointed federal Permanent Secretaries shortly before the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Those swore-in are Adamp Mahmud Kambari( Borno State); Esuabana Nko Asanye ( Cross River State); Lamuwa Adamu Ibrahim(Gombe); Yakubu Adam Kofar-Mata (Kano State); Oloruntola Olufemi Micheal (Ogun State) and Richard Pheelangwah(Taraba State).

The President also congratulated the new permanent Secretaries on their appointment.

Those in attendance at the commencement of meeting were the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; Head of the Federal Civil Service, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan; and the National Security Council (NSA), Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (rted).

Also in attendance were the Ministers of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed; Information and Culture Minister, Lai pMohammed, Sani Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mohammed Musa Bello; Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

Others are the Ministers of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo; Communication and Digital Economy, Professor Ali Pantami; Power, Abubakar Aliyu; Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige.

Responding to questions from State House Correspondents, the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, charged the new Permanent Secretaries to give their best in the discharge of their duties.

Some of the Permanent Secretaries who spoke commended the process that led to their appointment, Promising to discharge their duties diligently.
