NASCO Group today donated 500 cartoons of Anti Bacterial hand wash to the Plateau State Government as part of their efforts in assisting the state government in curbing spreed of COVID-19 Pandemic.
Speaking during the presentation of the Anti Bacterial hand wash, the Group General Manager Administration of NASCO, Alhaji Shehu Nyalum lauded the measures put in place by Plateau State Government and their protectiveness in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic given that the state is yet to record any case of coronavirus.
He said NASCO in fulfillment of its Corporate Social Responsibility following the global outbreak of COVID-19 Pandemic and in support of the measures set by government is donating Nasco Beauty Anti Bacterial hand wash produced by the company.
Receiving the Anti Bacterial hand wash on behalf of the government was the Secretary to the state Government, Prof. Danladi Abok Atu who also doubles as the Coordinating Secretary of the State Taskforce on COVID-19, appreciated NASCO for the laudable gesture supporting the government and people of Plateau State.
He noted that the company has done excellently well for the state and Nigeria as a whole not just in employment but has shown up in time of this pandemic to assist the government with Preventive Measures further calling on other well meaning organizations to follow suit.

Prof. Atu said that the state is yet to report any case of corona-virus given that 49 contacts have be made with suspected cases and test carried out of which 45 have returned negative with 3 other test still in coming.
He said the government will continue to put in place measures that will prevent the virus and contain any spread in the event of an outbreak. He said government still holds sacred the set ground rules; Hand Sanitizer and hand washing at every point, maintenance of the 2meters social distancing, suspension of all public gathering and event must not exceed 50people.
Furthermore government regulations which placed restrictions and temporal closure of certain businesses in Plateau State to curb the spread of the disease is still on as any religious organization that does not comply will be closed down.
The government has gone ahead to shut down all entry points into the state and has met with the Keke association as such they have been informed properly on perimeters set as security taskforce members will continue to ensure compliance. Shops are also encouraged to attend to not more than 2 person and 5 meter spacing for market food vendors. Government has also received some safety gears and the delivery of earlier ordered Ventilators.
Finally, Atu thanked Plateau citizens to have faith and charged all to adhere strictly to all measures employed by Government to stem the spread of the virus.
