The Director of public health, ministry of health Plateau State recently Frankly opened up that they are overwhelmed at the ministry and are in need of more hands to help them when NCDC held a meeting with them in Jos.
The Director has been deployed to a yet to be identified ministry by a circular within the health Ministry.
All efforts to get the permanent secretary and Commissioner of health to respond on the redeployment of the Director proved abortive as at the time of this report.
Few days ago the Commissioner of Health responded to a journalist on inquiry of the first index case in Plateau “it is none of your business”
People have been asking questions on the first index case as it relates to contact tracing and other concerns but the channel of communication has been poor from the ministry.
A new replacement is yet to be made as concerned citizens asks more questions to the situation room reporting cases with less answers and actions taken.
