In 2021, a young man embarked on a journey from Plateau State to Abuja with a single goal: to secure employment. Armed with resilience and hope, he faced the harsh realities of the job market, sending countless emails and combing the city in vain. Just as despair began to set in, an unexpected opportunity arose—a job interview invitation from Carrillion Real Estate in Lagos.
With only one acquaintance in Lagos, a friend he had met during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2018, he braved a night bus journey to the bustling city. The struggle didn’t end there; for a month, he slept on the floor of an unfinished building before eventually receiving company accommodation.
In Lagos, he embraced the city’s hustle, representing his Plateau State roots with pride and earning the nickname “#Jos_Engineer.” His dedication and skills led him to work with several reputable companies, including:

- Dillon Real Estate & Consultant
- Efficacy Construction Company
Despite earning a decent income, his desire to make his mother proud pushed him to rethink his path. He eventually resigned and returned to Jos, determined to carve a new future.
Fate smiled upon him once more when a chance connection with a stranger online brought him to River Park, Lugbe, in Abuja. This decision proved life-changing:
- He secured a promising job.
- He met the love of his life, who would later become his wife.
- He gained numerous career opportunities in the nation’s capital.
Today, the young man stands tall as the CEO/MD of Building The Streets Empire Limited, Micah Dung Pam, proudly carrying the banner of #Jos_Engineer to the world. His journey, marked by perseverance and resilience, serves as an inspiration to many who dream of overcoming challenges to achieve greatness.
