The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is pleased to introduce the Commission’s online portal for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).
The INEC Continuous Voter Registration Portal allows new Voter to Pre-Register online, or as a Registered Voter, you can Review your Voter Registration, Request to Update your Information (Correction of Date of Birth, Name, Arrangement of Name, Address) or Transfer your Voter Registration to another Polling Unit.
The portal allows a two-step registration process in which first, prospective registrants login to pre-register by providing their basic biodata and some biometrics and second to complete the registration by physically presenting themselves at a designated registration center of their choice by scheduling an appointment.

Steps:
- First you register using your gmail account, once the account has been created, login with user email and password
- Immediately you are logged in, click on new registration and fill in the required details, take 2 pictures, 1 neutral and the other 1 smiling upload and submit then schedule a date and location for physical capture which won’t take up to 15 minutes, that’s for those that have never registered before. For those that want to update, transfer or apply for new card, search for your details by using either your name, year of birth or VIN (Voter Identification Number (VIN) is a 19 digit alphanumerical number on top of your voter card).
- When your details pops up, click on review fill the form that will pop up, take 2 pictures, 1 neutral and the other 1 smiling upload and submit
- After submitting scroll to the top where your picture is, there are options at the top asking you to select what you want to do, select Update, Transfer, New Card…. according to your case.
- Click on any of the option according to your complain, make the necessary adjustment then submit, print out the slip and wait for your card.
