When he Dropped his first single titled “WANNA FLY” followed by a mixtape titled “BEHIND THE CLOUDS” which was released in 2017.
Jstar John started his music professionally in 2019 with a hot single titled “TONIGHT” which was played continuesly on Rhythm 93.7 FM jos
And was the number 2 song on Jtown Top10 Songs for 3 weeks straight.

His unique style, diversity and lyrics has made him outstanding.
JSTAR is currently working on a new song, said to be released this month

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY SO FAR?

So far the journey is to discover myself and enhance the talents and skills that i possess. Trying to be diverse and unique as a artist in the kind of music and songs that i write. Basically God and the desire to do what i love (music) has kept me going.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MAJOR INSPIRATION AS AN ARTIST?

Wow!! Life in itself inspires me. the trees, flowers and stars.
The books and movies, the people around me “Family, Friends and even Enemies” e.t.c
But Most importantly my major inspiration is me

WHAT WOULD YOU REGARD AS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR?

Well! I think my music is an achievement cause the ability to create or write a story(music) that is appreciated by everyone who listened, most times from people you dnt even know. It’s an awesome feeling that i really appreciate.

WHO ARE YOUR ROLE MODELS THAT INSPIRES YOUR KIND OF MUSIC

They are: Kendric Lamar, Nonso Amadi, the Weekend, Asa, wurlD and simi.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT BEEN AN ARTIST?

Being an artist is just amazing, it has given me the privilege to communicate my thoughts, experiences and imagination through music. Also the opportunity to pass information to the masses consciously or sub-consciously in a way that’s natural and beautiful.

WHAT RELEVANCE IS YOUR MUSIC TO AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT?

Well my music is targeted on “lifting depressed African minds” putting a smile on their faces, creating a story (fictional or non), giving a reason to live and love. There’s no development without peace and no peace without love. So love, love is the key

WHAT REVELANCE IS YOUR MUSIC TO THE WORLD AT LARGE?

Music has been a great source of happiness for me and its gonna be awesome to shear that with the world.
