Michelle Umeadi is a Nigerian Dietitian and a member of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria, and the British Dietetic Association, United Kingdom.
She is a registered dietitian with over a decade of experience in clinical and voluntary practice. An expert in administering Medical Nutrition Therapy for diabetes, kidney disease, hypertension, and other diet-related diseases.
Founder of CNC Smart foods, a subsidiary of Citadel Nutrition Consult, a food manufacturing company in Jos, Nigeria.
From April 2008 – March 2009, Michelle worked with Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Clinic, Port Harcourt– Rivers State Nigeria. And later in February 2011 – January 2014, she worked as a Dietitian in the Jos University Teaching Hospital after serving as an intern Dietitian.
Her experience and specialty cover food Science and nutrition, allergy management, weight loss, and weight management, diet planning among others. She is a seasoned professional in diet calculation and planning who has authored and have co-authored several books.
She has a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka Enugu–September 2007.
Subsequently, obtained a certificate in Diabetes Care (CIDC) from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, a Certificate in Exercise Prescription For the Prevention and Treatment of Disease from Trinity College, Dublin, United Kingdom, and a diploma in Nutrigenomics for Professionals of Nutrition in the Institute of Nutrigenomics, Nigeria.
She is currently the Head Dietitian, Citadel Nutrition Consult Ltd.
