The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has announced plans to commence the airlift of intending pilgrims to the Holy Land starting December 22, 2024.

This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary of the NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, during a meeting with the Conference of States in Abuja. The conference brought together state chairmen and secretaries of Christian Pilgrims Welfare Boards and representatives from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In his address, Bishop Adegbite encouraged attendees to remain steadfast in their faith and commitment to service, emphasizing that their strength and success come from God. “We must learn to serve the people diligently and trust that the grace of God will guide us to do what is right,” he said.

The meeting primarily focused on strategies to advance Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria. Bishop Adegbite reiterated the importance of setting a positive example, highlighting the NCPC’s commitment to a zero-abscondment and zero-corruption policy.

He also praised President Bola Tinubu for his leadership efforts, noting that Nigeria is on the path to progress despite ongoing challenges. “We are moving closer to our desired destination as a nation,” he affirmed.

Bishop David Moradeyo, Chairman of the Conference of States, commended the NCPC leadership for its dedication and effectiveness. He expressed confidence in the upcoming pilgrimage exercise, noting that the meeting provided a platform for meaningful discussions.

As part of preparations, the Conference of States has called on its members to engage in prayer and fasting for a smooth and successful pilgrimage operation.

The December pilgrimage marks another step in the NCPC’s mission to provide a spiritual and fulfilling experience for Nigerian Christians traveling to the Holy Land.
