Plateau State University, Bokkos, and the University of Jos have embarked on a pioneering partnership to enhance equipment maintenance and setup.
On February 18, a team of experts from the University of Jos’ Equipment Maintenance Centre visited Plateau State University to explore potential collaboration avenues. Led by Mr. James Dul, the team aimed to identify opportunities for knowledge sharing, training, and capacity building, as well as mutual benefits and cooperation.
Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Prof. Moses Pyefa, welcomed the team on behalf of Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Shedrack Best. He appreciated the University of Jos’ interest in Plateau State University’s infrastructural development, emphasizing the importance of collaborations between the two institutions, which he described as “siblings serving the interest of the state and country.
During the visit, the team toured laboratories in various faculties and the university’s clinic, pledging to donate their services in servicing, maintenance, and installation of available equipment. This partnership is expected to enhance the functionality and efficiency of Plateau State University’s equipment, ultimately benefiting students, staff, and the wider community.
