While acknowledging this success, he assured that the insights gained from the retreat, along with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders, would drive the Service to exceed its revenue target for 2025. This determination underscores the Service’s proactive approach to overcoming challenges and achieving substantial growth in revenue collection.
The Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Arch. Samuel N. Jatau, also addressed the participants, highlighting the critical role of efficient tax collection in the state’s growth and development. He expressed confidence in the retreat’s ability to foster unity among revenue officials, urging them to collaborate as a cohesive team toward the common goal of enhancing revenue collection for the state’s prosperity. Similarly, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Philemon Daffi, commended the Service’ efforts and challenged the participants to lead the charge in ensuring Plateau State’s sustainable economic growth, emphasizing the revenue Service’s role as the “brain box” of the state’s development.
