The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Province 3, through its evangelism initiative “Reach For Christ” Light Up Outreach, carried out a hospital outreach at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. The initiative included donations of toiletries to patients, as well as offering prayers, words of motivation, and encouragement through the word of God.
The outreach was part of the activities marking the 83rd birthday celebration of the General Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, born on March 2, 1942.
Pastor Omoniyi Ajibade, the Pastor in Charge of Province (PICP) RCCG Plateau Province 3, emphasized the significance of the initiative. “We are here to evangelize, pray for the patients, and provide them with essential items such as toilet rolls, toiletries, water, and detergents. The goal is to positively impact their lives while celebrating the 83rd birthday of our Father in the Lord,” he stated.
During the outreach, the team engaged with patients, offering prayers and words of encouragement. “We tell them that God is able to heal and restore them, and we trust Him to do just that,” Pastor Ajibade added.
Pastor (Mrs.) Modupe Balogun, Assistant Pastor in Charge of Province (APICP) for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), highlighted the compassionate aspect of the initiative. “This outreach is driven by the desire to see the sick recover through divine intervention. We believe that when we see them again, they will share testimonies of the Lord’s miraculous works,” she said. She further expressed her hope to see souls saved and individuals experiencing healing in body, spirit, and soul.
Mrs. Umar Mary, Acting Head of Nursing Department at JUTH, commended the RCCG for their humanitarian effort. “I want to sincerely thank you all for this great initiative. This is not just about healthcare services but also about making patients comfortable. Providing toiletries and other essentials alleviates some of their burdens. We are grateful, and we pray that God will bless everyone who contributed to this initiative. We also hope that others will emulate this kind gesture to support patients in need,” she said on behalf of the hospital management.
The RCCG Province 3’s Light Up Outreach continues to make a meaningful impact in communities by offering both spiritual and material support to those in need.
