Where is Lyrical DrSmith? This question has been nagging at my tormented mind for sometime. All through the Christmas season last year, I watched out for his name on all the promos for shows but did not really see him featured. Valentine has come and gone, Sallah has come and gone no Lyrical DrSmith. What is going on, has the creative juices dried up?
Last I heard of this great artiste was his performance at shadez of Laughter event by MC Makopolo and MC Smart(And thats after months of low-key lifestyle).
As we all know, his powerful music more than showed the depth of his talent. He has redefined sound and has opened the doors for so many artistes in Jos.
So what is the problem? Where are the songs, where are the shows? Or the celebrity lifestyle has blocked his vocal chords? I just read that he is now based in Lagos. What is he doing in Lagos when the action is here in the North.
He has left the leadership position open and surprisingly, nobody has been able to cover it.
I like the guy die, his talent is undeniably mercurial and his gait is really classic. He defines stardom and epitomises what is good about Jos.
So Lyrical DrSmith, if the songs have dried up, come make I write some nice songs for you wey go guarantee you Grammy nominations. You have been too quiet for too long. Abeg, Lagos release our man o.
Meanwhile he recently dropped a post on Facebook stating “I don’t have a problem”.
