The attention of the Alfred Dapal Damiyal (ADD) Campaign has been drawn to the recent publication presenting a suspended member as the governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Plateau State.
We wish to reassure our teeming supporters, party faithful, and the general public that our campaign remains firmly on course, and our commitment to the 2027 Plateau State governorship election remains unwavering.
The matter concerning the legitimate governorship candidacy of the NDC in Plateau State is currently before a court of competent jurisdiction. We have confidence in the judicial process and firmly believe that justice will be served. We therefore urge our supporters and the general public to remain calm, law-abiding, and confident while the court determines the matter.
We caution against allowing recent publications or provocative narratives to create unnecessary anxiety, confusion, or division among our supporters. Media reports and political declarations do not replace the judicial process, and we remain committed to pursuing this matter through lawful and constitutional means.
Furthermore, we urge all genuine party members and supporters to remain vigilant against individuals and interests whose activities may be aimed at infiltrating the party at various levels, creating confusion, and undermining the collective aspirations of its members. We must not allow detractors to exploit this situation to sow discord or derail the growing movement for a safer, more united, and prosperous Plateau State.
At this critical moment, discipline, unity, patience, and faith in the rule of law are essential. We encourage our supporters to refrain from spreading unverified information, engaging in unnecessary confrontations, or taking actions capable of undermining the party’s interests.
Our message is clear: we are not distracted, we are not discouraged, and we are not abandoning the course we have chosen. We remain focused on our political engagements, strengthening our grassroots structures, reaching out to the people of Plateau State, and advancing our vision for a better future.
