As political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Plateau State, attention is increasingly turning to the quality of leadership the state requires to overcome its developmental challenges and unlock its enormous potential.
Among the names being discussed in the emerging political landscape is Alfred Dapal Damiyal (ADD), whose supporters and political associates continue to position him as a credible alternative for a new direction in the governance of Plateau State.
For a state endowed with agricultural resources, tourism potential, human capital and a strategic geographical position, the central question going into 2027 should not simply be which political platform produces the next candidate.
