Anglican priest resigns, launches polygamy movement

An Anglican Priest, Reverend (Barrister) Ogbuchukwu Makuo Lotanna resigned from his position as a priest of the Nnewi Anglican Diocese.

Rev. Barr. Ogbuchukwu Makuo Lotanna, a native of Mbanagu Otolo Nnewi, asserted that he was given a mandate by God to launch a movement that supports polygamy in order to lower the prevalence of sexual sins.

According to him., it is obvious that the church especially the Anglican Church has been teaching against the concept of polygamy; but the Lord had opened his eye to the reality that polygamy is not a sin.

He revealed that what God hates is the divorce of any type; sleeping with another man’s wife and sleeping with someone you are not married to.

Pastor Barr Ogbuchukwu Makuo Lotanna, a native of Mbanagu Otolo Nnewi, asserted that he was given a mandate by God to launch a movement that supports polygamy in order to lower the prevalence of sexual sins.

Barr. Makuo urged men to wed their side women in order to avoid going to hell. He said that his new movement would be known as the Gideonites and that their temple would bear this name.
