Khafi Kareem, A former Big Brother Naija housemate, is currently being probed for misconduct at the UK’s Met Police; over her appearance on the reality show in 2019.
According to the BBC, Kareem, who is a police constable at the Met Police, faced a panel on Monday; for going on the reality show “without authority”. The reports also alleged that the former housemate; and mother of one took and surrendered her laptop to organizers of the reality TV show.
Facing the panel, the Met police officer had told her superiors she wanted to appear on Big Brother Naija; to “promote the Met Police” globally.
She also denied allegations of breaching standards in respect of “orders and instructions” and “discreditable conduct”; and failing to declare a business interest in relation to publicity and promotion of the show.
Recall the mother of one spent 77 days in the Big Brother Naija house before she was evicted in 2019.
The hearing held at the Empress Building in west London on Monday.
Since the show, Khafi has gone on to marry a fellow housemate, Gedoni Ekpata and they have a son.

Pastor Zagabe Chiluza, reportedly married the first wife before marrying the four, claiming that he adopted the idea of polygamy from the Bible, using Jacob, who had four wives, as an example.

The man of God encouraged others to practice polygamy, saying men from his church marry only virgins.
According to AfriMax English, the man always shares scriptures from the Holy Book to prove polygamy isn’t a sin. “I have one wife already and today I’m going to marry these four. They will join the first wife,” he said on his wedding day.

He claimed the idea of marrying more wives originated from the Bible.
“Jacob had many wives Leah and Rachel, then Bilha and Zilpa…four wives for one man,” he said. Zagabe said he got saved in 1986, and during the wedding, while addressing the guests, he said; “I’m glad to have five wives.”
Online Sources said Zagabe Chiluza’s four wives were all virgins when he married them at his church in eastern Congo recently.

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev Dr Yakubu Pam has called on both the Federal and Plateau state government to intervene in the security situation in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
He made this known in Kwall, Bassa Local Government on 24th April,2022 during a courtesy visit to the Honourable Member representing Jos North and Bassa Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Musa Agah. The NCPC helmsman affirmed it was high time the appropriate government handled the security situation in Bassa Local Government.
He explained that the fragile security situation in the area had put fears in the minds of the people, especially farmers who could no longer go to their farms . He also enjoined the youths of the local government to organize themselves very well by forming a local security network that would help to maintain peace in the area . The NCPC boss congratulated the newly elected Honourable Member of the Green Chambers for his victory at the recent bye election conducted in his Constituency. He further thanked God for saving him and his wife from the hands of bandits. Rev Pam admonished him to be fearless and bold because ” greater is he that is in him than he that is in the world “. He affirmed,”you will continue to overcome and be victorious”. He noted that life is full of trials, but God will see you through”
Speaking, Hon Musa Agah thanked the NCPC boss for coming to congratulate him and commiserate with him . He described the NCPC boss as a “leader with so many caps; very detribilized statesman” . He further appreciated him for demonstrating. leadership and maturity.He noted that the visit of the NCPC boss had comforted and strengthen them. The newly elected member of the House of Representatives stated that the country had degenerated to a level where all the communities are vulnerable.
He called on the NCPC boss to use his good offices to speak truth to power because according to him,”a lot of things must be done “ Hon Agah reaffirmed his confidence on the NCPC boss, stating that his noble efforts had given them reasons to celebrate him. He averred that Bassa Local Government of Plateau state is under siege.

Google is introducing a new Play Store policy that will effectively block third-party call recording apps from the Play Store by May 11th, according to a Reddit post seen by 9to5Google.
Such apps currently use the Accessibility API (designed for people with disabilities); to gain access to the audio functions on Android devices.
“Apps with a core functionality intended to directly support people with disabilities are eligible to use the IsAccessibilityTool;” the policy states.
“Apps not eligible for IsAccessibilityTool may not use the flag; and must meet prominent disclosure and consent requirements.
The Accessibility API is not designed and cannot be requested for remote call audio recording. ”
Google has gradually been trying to eliminate call recording on Android mainly due to privacy concerns.
It was largely blocked on Android 6 and the use of the microphone for call recording was also eliminated in Android 10.
The last resort for call recording apps was to use the Accessibility API.
Google addressed the issue in a webinar video, saying that “remote in this context refers to call audio recording; where the person on the other end is unaware of the recording is taking place.”
It added that dialer apps like Google Phone and Mi Dialer with native call recording functionality will be unaffected by the change.
“If the app is the default dialer on the phone and also pre-loaded accessibility capability is not required to get access to the incoming audio stream;” said Google content global operations lead Moun Choi.
Hence would not be in violation. Since this is a clarification to an existing policy the new language will apply to all apps starting on May 11th.”
It’s not clear if the new policy means existing call recorder apps will be pulled from the Play Store.
The Operation Safe Haven in Jos has handed over 517 recovered small arms and light weapons from bandits and criminal elements within its area of operation.
The Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN and General Officer Commanding 3rd Division, Jos, Major General Ibrahim Ali, disclosed this on Thursday during a press briefing in Jos while handing over the small arms and light weapons to the Zonal Coordinator, North Central, National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and light weapons (ACCSALW), held at the Headquarters of Operation SAFE HAVEN, Jos.
Major Gen Ali said that the Operational successes recorded by troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN recently have led to the recovery of 517 small Arms and light weapons from criminal elements.
Comprising of 40 automatic weapons and 477 locally fabricated firearms, automatic weapons include 26 AK 47 rifles, 1 FN rifle, 2 Beretta rifles, 3 G3 rifles, 6 Beretta pistols, 1 Harris Burg pistol, and 1 SMG.
Others include 183 locally fabricated Rifles, 163 Dane Guns, 102 Locally Fabricated pistols and 19 locally fabricated SMGs, 6 single Barrel Guns and 1 pump action.”
Gen Ali also used the opportunity to dispel the unfounded campaign of calumny trending on some social media platforms that he has been compromising and taking side with a particular ethnic group in the conflict between farmers and herders in Plateau.
He said, “Contrary to this falsehood, it is pertinent to note that as a member of the Armed Forces, I have sworn my allegiance to defend the country and protect the lives and properties of all citizens devoid of any ethnic, religious or pecuniary sentiments.”
Gen. Ali appreciated citizens who provided credible information that led to the success of the arms recovery and urged the troops to sustain the tempo in order to decisively curtail the activities of criminals elements in their joint Area of operation.
Receiving the weapons, the Zonal Coordinator, North Central, National Centre for the Control of Small Arms, Major Gen. Hamza Bature (Rtd) appreciated the troops and urged the public to always give necessary information to mop out illegal firearms from the hands of the public.
“I encourage the Operation SAFE HAVEN to step up the tide to ensure that we recover all firearms from the society, knowing that we are moving towards the election and we want everybody to be on the same page.”
Gen. Bature expressed hope that more weapons would be recovered from the public as they continue to collaborate for the recovery of small arms and light weapons.
A Plateau youth group under the umbrella of “The Jos Progressives Youth Forum” have called Dr Adamu Aliyu, to contest for Jos North North constituency representation in the Plateau State House of Assembly
