Bauchi State Civil Service Commission has sacked one of its employees, Sani Mohammed Tirwun, for allegedly issuing fake appointment letters to some employment seekers.
The commission, in a statement, yesterday, by Sale Umar, said that Tirwun who was; a Secretarial Assistant II at the State Hospital Management Board, committed a serious misconduct for engaging in the illegality.

Umar added that Tirwun was; found guilty by the Disciplinary Committee of the Hospital Management Board for falsification of record, issuance of fake appointment letters, illegal posting of illegal staff, faking of the board’s staff officer’s signature and; alteration of posting letter.
“These contradict Chapter (4) Section 4 Rule 108, item XVII, XIV, XV of Bauchi State Public Service Regulation 2017 (reviewed version); that dealt with aforementioned offences as serious misconduct and; liable to dismissal.”
“Besides all these, the officer was; also alleged to have collected over N1m for issuance of fake appointment letters; as well as collecting N250,000, N200,000 and N150,000 respectively; for inserting the victims’ names among the approved posting.
“The officer, in his answer to a query issued to him; by the Hospital Management Board, confessed to the crime. Therefore, the officer’s dismissal was; approved with effect from October 1, 2023,” he said.
