Bukayo Saka, the talented Arsenal footballer, recently paid a visit to his grandparents in Oro Irepodun Local Government Area, Kwara State. The 18-year-old was welcomed with open arms and plenty of love, as his grandparents had not seen him in a long time.
Saka spent several days with his family, catching up and reflecting on all that had happened since the last time they had seen each other. He also took time to explore the local area and take in the sights and sounds of his home state.
The visit was especially meaningful for Saka, as he had grown up hearing stories of his parents’ home state and was eager to see the place they had described to him. He was delighted to feel a connection to the place that had shaped his family’s life and heritage.
Saka was happy to be able to spend time with his grandparents and the people of Oro Irepodun Local Government Area. He expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome he was given, and the chance to learn more about the place that had a profound impact on his life.
Bukayo Saka had previously visited Bariga, Somolu where his family grew up during his visit to Lagos.
The footballer arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Wednesday, May 31st following the end of the 2022/2023 football season for his club.
