On Monday morning, a portion of the Supreme Court experienced a fire incident, fortunately resulting in no casualties.
Festus Akande, a spokesperson for the Court, revealed that the fire’s origin was traced to electrical issues within one of the Justice Chambers. The incident, which began around 6 a.m., was successfully extinguished using fire extinguishers.
It was discovered that the alert about the fire was raised by the cleaning staff and some early-bird workers who detected it. These individuals promptly employed the building’s fire extinguishers to combat the flames.
The fire affected the office of Justice Mohammed Saulawa as well as two other offices within the Court.
