In a bid to help the vulnerable people in Nigeria and support creatives in Plateau State, the Gabriel Michael Foundation was officially launched on the 9th of April, 2024. The foundation, founded by Sir Gabriel Michael, aims to provide assistance to those in need and feed the hungry in the community.
At the launch event, 100 bags of rice were distributed to those in need, with the promise of more to come in the future. Sir Gabriel Michael also announced plans to establish ways to enable the less privileged to go back to school through the Gabriel Michael Foundation, Quality Education Scheme, provide good meals for those in hunger, and offer tech-related course sponsorships to creatives to help them establish themselves.

The event was attended by notable figures such as Hon Gyang Bere, the director of Press and Public Affairs Plateau State, Hon Timothy Golu, Special Adviser to the Governor of Plateau State on Strategic Communication, and Hon Peter Vwang, the chairman of Jos South Local Government. Cultural performances, creative showcases, and surprise announcements added to the excitement of the day, which also marked Sir Gabriel’s birthday.

Creatives in Plateau State are hopeful for the future as the Gabriel Michael Foundation promises to support and uplift them. With plans to distribute 1000 more bags of rice before the year ends, the foundation is already making a positive impact in the community.
