Since assuming office in February 2025, Rt. Hon. Joyce Lohya Ramnap has recorded remarkable achievements as Commissioner of Information and Communication, Plateau State, reinforcing the “Time is Now” administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance under Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.
Among her notable strides is the successful organization of a ministerial press briefing where Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) presented their scorecards to mark the government’s second anniversary. The event showcased the administration’s milestones and strengthened its open-door policy.
The Ministry’s Press Centre has also been given a modern facelift, transforming it into a functional conference hall for all ministries within the State Secretariat. In collaboration with PICTDA, Ramnap reactivated the Ministry’s website, enhancing access to government information and fostering transparency.
In line with her vision of promoting accountability, the Commissioner led a media tour to inspect projects executed by the Mutfwang-led administration, enabling journalists to witness first-hand the progress of developmental initiatives across the state. Additionally, she has prioritized capacity building by engaging information officers to craft a unified Plateau narrative, sharpen report-writing skills, and strengthen media performance.
Her leadership style and results-driven approach have earned her commendations from stakeholders, including the Plateau Regeneration Group, which praised her eloquence, intelligence, and expertise. Observers note that her open-door policy is creating wider access for women and youths in governance.
With these achievements, Rt. Hon. Joyce Lohya Ramnap has not only elevated the visibility of Plateau State but also reaffirmed her commitment to effective communication, transparency, and good governance.
