Certain areas of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state, are experiencing a halt in business operations due to a devastating explosion that occurred in the city on Tuesday.
It’s noteworthy that the explosion took place at Dejo Oyelese Close, Bodija Housing Estate in Ibadan on that fateful Tuesday.
Upon visiting sections of Bodija, reporters observed the closure of business activities near the accident site, with traders assessing their losses. Numerous residences, shops, and offices, particularly those near the old and new Bodija, were impacted by the explosion, resulting in the loss of many lives.

When DAILY POST visited the area, business proprietors and their employees were observed engaging in discussions about the incident.
At the time of this report, only a limited number of shops and offices within Bodija were able to resume operations.
A trader, preferring anonymity, disclosed that he had closed his business premises in response to the incident, stating, “We have shut the shop. Some of us have been adversely affected.”
An elderly man also informed DAILY POST that his office had suffered from the impact. “My office has been affected. It is in close proximity to this place. We have closed it down, and I just managed to come here to assess the situation.”
