The Jos Trade fair has over the years grown in stature, and it has contributed in marketing our state, products and services to the country and world at large.
As this year’s fair is poised to do more, it is exciting to see the energy been put into it by all relevant partners and participants. It has always been fascinating where each Local Goveenment booths exhibit different commodities locally produced are sold.
The Jos polo field has played host to this exciting event, and the people participation has indeed blossomed and turned the affair into a more people driven event.
It is interesting to know that a trade fair is about boosting the market capabilities of a state, exposing locally available products to the outside community, selling ourselves, showcasing and demonstrate our latest products and services, introducing our local producers with industry partners and customers, it affords us the opportuniy to study activities of rivals, and examine recent market trends and opportunities.
These and many more prospects are available to us this year. Our illustrious sons have won the coveted National MSME awards for the fabrication of agricultural machinery; and another for winning the 2019 MSME Awards for Innovation is proof that we have a lot to showcase and sell.
The people have also been a major magnet to the fair, and it is why we do thia. It reminds us of what we have as a people. Our love for nature, music, company of friends and our overall agreement on the affordability of our products.
For our economy, it plays an integral role in bringing in resources to the state. Fairs also play important roles in marketing as well as business networking in market sectors that utilize them. People will seek to meet people and companies at their own level in the supply chain, as well as potential suppliers and potential buyers.
Marketing our state as a ground for economical, technological and industrial prowess has become a necessity with the bad press surrounding our state. With the deliberate effort put by all the people to build peace in Plateau State, we must conscientiously build our economic space to better us all.
