Major Gen C.C Okonkwo Farewell Parley with Journalist and Bloggers at the Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) multi-purpose hall on Wednesday 10th March, 2021
Major General C. C. Okonkwo assumed duty 7th April, 2020, as the 12th commander of the Operation Safe Haven, he has now been transferred to Abuja for another function. during his speech at the parley, he stated how strategies were put in place to curb the cases of insecurity on the plateau.
He commended all journalist and bloggers, saying he never took them for granted, he enjoyed the working relationship and encouraged them to give all necessary support to the new commander as he is a capable and competent General.
Prince Sekat of Freelance reporters and Munashat Makut of Farm House reporter applauded and shower praises tothe commander for his tireless efforts in curbing insecurity on the plateau,
Friday Bako, Chairman Plateau Bloggers and Online Association (PBOMA)commend the effort of the commander for his doggedness and capabilities to be able to curb the cases of insecurity on the Plateau, also looking forward to working with the incoming commander.
He pointed out the newly launched operations introduced by the commander “Hakorin Damisa” which has been very effective during the short period it was introduced.
Other journalist in their separate remarks lauded the outgoing commander OPSH as a true icon and a patriotic Military Officer whose humility would be greatly missed.
Major General Okonkwo has been replaced by Major General D. C. Onyemulu, he is now deployed to head the Nigerian Army Welfare Limited by Guarantee as Group Managing Director.
