The Plateau State security outfit, Operation Rainbow, has issued a strong warning against any potential disruptions during the forthcoming Local Government Elections in the state. In a statement released on Wednesday and signed by the organization’s coordinator, Brig.-Gen. Gakji Shipi (rtd.), the outfit assured the public of its readiness to ensure a peaceful and secure voting process.

According to the statement, Operation Rainbow has strategically deployed personnel across various locations identified as potential flashpoints. “We have deployed personnel to strategic locations and potential flashpoints, who are well-equipped to address any security concerns,” the statement highlighted.

The organization further urged citizens to adhere to security protocols, avoid any incitement to violence, and report suspicious activities to their emergency hotline at 080000223344.

Warning that swift and decisive action would be taken against any individual or group attempting to disrupt the electoral process, Operation Rainbow pledged zero tolerance for electoral violence. “We will not hesitate to take decisive action against anyone who threatens the peace and security of our state,” the statement read.

The security outfit concluded by calling on the public to support peaceful, credible, and fair elections in the state.
