Plangji Daniel Cishak discussed the commission’s collaboration with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) and outlined improvements planned for PLASIEC’s Voter Verification System (VVS) in future elections. He emphasized how the partnership with IFES has supported the commission in refining election processes, ensuring greater transparency, and enhancing the integrity of the voting system.
The Chairman also shared key lessons from previous elections, focusing on how electoral bodies can address logistical challenges more effectively. These insights included strategies to streamline the deployment of materials and personnel, optimize communication channels, and strengthen coordination with Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). By addressing these logistical issues, PLASIEC aims to improve voter experience and reduce potential delays or complications on election day.
