Plateau Businessman and Entrepreneur calls out Plateau State Youth Council (PYC) for being Partisan, calls on the council leadership to recuse image
Young business man and Politician Hon Ziphion Terkop Chrysanthus has called out the leadership of the Plateau State Youth Council (PYC) for reportedly appearing at a ceremony where a group allegedly contributed and purchase a form for a candidate of a political party.
Hon Ziphion who expressed his dissatisfaction with the behavior of the leadership of the Plateau State Youth Council on his personal social media handle noted in his own words thus
“To my mind, I thought the Plateau State Youth Council was a fair, just and apolitical pressure group that sticks to its primary mandate, little did I know that the platform had been heavily compromised and enmeshed in the murky waters of politics.”.
He stressed that “I find it repulsive to know that the PYC leadership was involved in the purchase of senatorial forms for Gov. Lalong under the guise of ‘Plateau Legacy Group’.”
He asked “What more could be said of this flagrant abuse of office by being partisan, taking side with those holding political offices and identifying with a certain political party?”
While expressing his disappointment that “Some of the advices we always give for PYC to remain neutral and strictly serve the interest of Plateau youths always fall on deaf ears.”
He wondered why the PYC has not given due attention to philanthropic gestures of spirited individuals like Chief Ayuba Burki Gwafan, failed to give due attention in speaking unequivocally against recent happenings in the state, only to be seen participating in partisan political activities.
Hon Ziphion pointed out that “Unless PYC wakes up and dust itself up, their much-talked about legacy can only be a mirage.”.
Hon Ziphion concluded by stating that “Regardless of how anybody will view my message, it doesn’t matter. I’ve passed a message. History is watching.”.
Photos have emerged on social media spotting some EXCO members of the Plateau State Youth Council in a ceremony reported to be a ceremony where a group allegedly purchased and presented the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial nomination form to the Governor of Plateau State, Rt Hon Simon Bako Lalong in Abuja.
