Mrs. Nanbam E. Danjuma, Plateau State Project Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), represented the state at the Commission on the Status of Women held 9 to 19 March 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
She attended alongside the Plateau State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Caroline Panglang Dafur, and the Director General of the Plateau Peace Building Agency, Dr. Julie Sanda.
The conference focused on advancing gender equality through key themes such as rights, justice, and inclusive action for women and girls. Discussions also emphasized equality, peace, leadership, and women’s role in shaping systems of power and governance.
