In response to recent attacks that resulted in the loss of several lives and properties, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has imposed a 24-hour curfew on the Mangu Local Government Area
At least 12 people were killed in new gunmen attacks on the Farinkasa Kerana and Sabon Gari communities in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State on Sunday, sending residents into a state of mourning
The Governor, in consultation with the State Security Council, imposed the curfew on the entire Local Government Area to restore law and order.
Astatement by Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor of Plateau State restricted movements within the Local Government until further notice except for security personnel and persons on essential duties.
Security agencies have therefore been directed to ensure total enforcement of the curfew.
Meanwhile, the governor has assured the people that government is working round-the-clock to restore peace and security in the state
