The governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Jos at the high court complex has dismissed the petition seeking the nullification of the election of Gov. Caleb Mutfwang as the governor of plateau state and Reaffirms his election as the duly elected governor of Plateau State, the Petitioners which in their ground one are saying the PDP in plateau state has no structure to be able to sponsor a candidate the tribunal held that the Petitioners haven’t not being a member of the political party PDP has no locus to challenge the normination or sponsorship of a candidate as the law is clear on that and they are interlopers.
The court further held that the issues of normination and sponsorship of a candidate the electoral act has settled it you most have a minimum qualification of secondary school and must be a member of a political party the reason for that is to avoid independent candidate ones a person has meet all this requirements the person is qualify and as such the ground 1 of the petition is purely a pre election matter and the tribunal don’t have jurisdiction to entertain the matter as and the ground one is hereby dismissed.
The Tribunal Held that PDP has a repeated congress and was monitored by INEC an organ saddle with the responsibility to monitor any election and the presented the report of the repeated congress and it was admitted as evidence, and all the witnesses that the Petitioners brought totally 21 polling unit agents has not prove to the tribunal evidence of over voting and non compliance with the electoral act and all their evidence amount to nothing and is base on hear say, and the expert witness who allege over voting his report is full of Arithmetic errors and cannot be rely on and the tribunal cannot use that and his entire analysis is completely wrong full of errors and can not be use.

The tribunal held that the computer analyst, his analysis is totally full of errors which he admitted during cross-examination.
The tribunal also held that the Petitioners did not bring or produce any different results to show that the votes that the 2nd respondent which Caleb Mutfwang and the Petitioners did not prove any over voting of non compliance of the electoral act.
The witnesses brought in support of the ground one are all stroke out and deem as interlopers as they are not members of PDP and did not participate in any of the primaries and as such cannot give any evidence on the matter and the witness statement on oath are not valid and are also stroke out, the petition in entirely has collapse.
