Born and raised in the musically vibrant city of Jos, Nigeria, to the Christian family of Goyomma Lamba Sati, Victor Sati Goyomma — professionally known as Rhemedy Boy — is one of Nigeria’s most promising Afrobeats artists and songwriters. Coming from the same city that birthed musical giants like 2Baba and M.I abaga , Rhemedy Boy was immersed in a soundscape that mixed traditional Nigerian rhythms with global influences. That environment shaped his unique sound, which fuses Afrobeats, Highlife, R&B, and subtle touches of reggae.

How the Journey Started

Before music found him, Rhemedy Boy worked as a shoemaker. His boss, a DJ, had a unique tradition in the workshop — if you arrived late, you had to freestyle before starting your work. The workshop became a lively creative space, filled with young boys from the neighborhood and music constantly playing in the background.

One Monday morning changed everything. After attending a party the night before and taking alcohol for the first time, he woke up late and rushed to work. His elder brother — who didn’t wake him up on purpose — was waiting to witness his freestyle moment. That freestyle, unplanned and raw, blew everyone away. Encouraged by the response and with a beat gifted by his brother, Rhemedy Boy recorded his very first song.

However, with no financial support and still just a young boy, he had to pause his musical journey for three years. But the fire never left him.

The Comeback: 2023 and Beyond

In 2023, Rhemedy Boy made a powerful return with the release of his debut extended play (EP) titled Prologue. The four-track project featured standout songs: Rare, Omo Ologo, Sativa, and Kilimanjaro. Prologue served as both an introduction and a statement — blending soulful storytelling, vibrant energy, and a bold declaration of his artistic identity.

Building on the EP’s success, he shot his first official music video in 2024, bringing his vision to the screen and marking a new chapter in his creative journey.
