Water is essential for survival and a basic necessity for living. Safe intake of water is key for all humans as well, all animals and plant life on earth depend on water.
The Axis of Jenta Mangoro have experienced scarcity of water for over 30 years, the area have ran short of some basic amenities especially clean water. This has put the health and lives of inhabitants on line and at risk of water borne diseases.
In a bid of societal/community development to ease scarcity of water and provide clean water, The Dooscomforts Home NGO have established a borehole project sponsored by Algier12 Properties limited aimed at the provision of portable water for Jenta Mangoro community.
Dooscomfort Home is an NGO located in plateau state with the mission to be a relentless force for good and a voice for widows and it’s vision is to bring women the power to shatter the restraint of poverty.
Algier12 Properties limited is solely a real estate and property company and it is renowned for its impressive development of residential property and landmark development in plateau state. As part of its environmental management that aims to make a significant contribution to the future of real estate projects, the company sponsored the establishment of the borehole.
The project was commissioned on Sunday, May 9th in Jenta Mangoro. A representative of Algier12 Properties Limited revealed that the company’s sponsored the project For God and also service to humanity “we want people to have the mindset of helping, giving and to see that the community is in a better place”. Also the Algier12 Properties limited expressed their satisfaction with the work done and for the betterment of the society more sponsored projects will be coming.
Speaking to Wecrispt Media, The CEO of Dooscomforts home. Ms Maria Achan stated that the reason behind the borehole project is because Jenta Mangoro has a lot of women and widows, as part of the NGO’s aim to help women and widows, jenta was choosen because the NGO believes in helping the community and in this cause, women are helped directly or indirectly by helping the community.
The commissioning was supported by the universal peace and violence amelioration center (UPVAC) and UNRS.
The community leaders acknowledged the work done by the NGO and sponsor, the women also expressed their joy in the provision of portable water for the community saying its like the coming of Christ to the community.
