National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after a trip to the United Kingdom for consultations on his presidential ambition.
Tinubu returned to the country after a week’s consultation with stakeholders in the UK.
The APC stalwart touched down in Nigeria on Sunday, February 6, 2022 through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos. Equally important, his arrival was confirmed by his media aide, Tunde Rahman. Specifically, Rahman had shared a picture of the APC National Leader with the caption; “Asiwaju Tinubu on his return this evening from a trip abroad.’’
The former Lagos State governor, after being the subject of rumours for a long time, had recently signaled his intention to contest for the Presidency on the platform of the APC in 2023. Tinubu is looking to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari whose two-term tenure comes to an end next year.
Since he declared interest during a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja last month; the Jagaban Borgu, as he is fondly called, has been on a nationwide consultation.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ade Omole, leader of the United Kingdom (UK) chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Nigeria Diaspora for Asiwaju (NDA) team in London has declared that Sen. Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the APC is in good health.
As a matter of fact, Omole made this known after meeting with Tinubu in London.
Alhaji AbdulRasaq Danjuma, Omole’s Personal Assistant, announced this in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja. He said the meeting between the APC leader and Omole was to consult with the NDA and critical APC stakeholders in the UK on the former’s 2023 presidential aspiration.
Also, Danjuma said that contrary to media reports, Tinubu was hale and healthy.
