Web3tribe University Heads to London After NextGen National Showcase in Abuja
“Founder Dinfa Dashe says the competition is a bridge for innovators outside Nigeria’s big tech hubs, and has published his full account”
Web3tribe University, a mobile-first learning platform from Jos-based Web3.0 Alliance Ltd, is heading to London for the NextGen Innovation Challenge 2026 International Grand Finale on 9 October at ExCeL London. It got there after reaching the programme’s national showcase in Abuja.

NextGen is led by the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) in partnership with UKALD. It is designed to move Nigerian innovations from prototype towards commercialisation, investment and international markets. Its sectors include AI, health technology, agriculture, clean energy, fintech and education technology.
In a seven-minute article on Medium, founder and CEO Dinfa Dashe argues that the programme represents something bigger for innovators building outside Nigeria’s traditional technology centres: access. “Nigeria does not lack ideas,” he writes. “What has often been missing is a reliable bridge between local innovation and the capital, partnerships, markets and institutions required to take those solutions to scale.”

Web3tribe University connects underserved learners with practical technology education, verifiable skills, rewards and pathways towards employment. Its roots are in the Digital Inclusion work at the innovation lab at Plateau State Polytechnic’s Jos campus, which has reached hundreds of beneficiaries.

Dashe also has a message for young innovators: “Your community can be your laboratory. Your problem can become your innovation.” He urges them to build, test, listen to users and document their impact.
