Africulfash, organisers of the African Cultural Fashion Week, has announced the 9th edition of the event, scheduled to hold on October 18, 2026, in Jos, Plateau State.
Themed “Threads of Gold — Plateau @50,” the event will celebrate Plateau State’s rich cultural heritage, history, creativity, resilience and achievements as the state marks its 50th anniversary.
According to the organisers, the 9th African Cultural Fashion Week will bring together fashion designers, models, beauty professionals, creatives and other stakeholders in the creative industry to showcase the cultural identity of Plateau through fashion.
The event will also recognise individuals who have contributed significantly to the growth and development of the creative industry in Plateau State.
Africulfash said the celebration will explore the connection between traditional heritage and contemporary fashion, while providing a platform for creatives to showcase their talents and celebrate the stories and cultural values that define the people of Plateau.
The 9th African Cultural Fashion Week/Award is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Sarau Event Centre, Behind NTA Jos Network Centre, Hwolshe, Jos.
The organisers described the event as an opportunity to celebrate Plateau’s journey through culture and creativity while promoting African fashion and strengthening connections within the continent’s creative industry.
