Professor and have been returned as National Chairman and National Secretary of the (APC), respectively, following the party’s 4th Elective National Convention held at on Friday night.
The duo were confirmed by the Convention Election Committee alongside other party officials, with most positions filled through a consensus arrangement.
The high-profile gathering was attended by top political figures, including President , Vice President , Senate President , and Speaker of the House of Representatives .
The convention, themed “Unity in Progress: Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda,” was organised by a planning committee co-chaired by former Katsina State Governor and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation .
In his address, President Tinubu commended the unity within the party since 2023, expressing optimism about Nigeria’s future despite prevailing challenges.
He described the convention as a significant moment for both the party and the country’s democracy, noting that it provides an opportunity to reaffirm shared values, strengthen internal cohesion, and renew commitment to the ideals that formed the APC.
Tinubu emphasized that the convention’s theme underscores the importance of unity as a foundation for progress, urging members to remain steadfast in advancing the party’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.
