APPLY NOW: Dangote Foundation Offers Nigerian Students Free Refinery Shares Through IPO Grant

Nigerian students can receive 10 additional shares in Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE at no cost under the Aliko Dangote Foundation’s Student Share Grant Initiative.

The initiative, announced by the foundation in October 2026, aims to promote financial inclusion, encourage a savings culture and introduce young Nigerians to investment opportunities in the capital market.

Under the programme, eligible students who purchase a minimum of 10 shares in the refinery’s ongoing initial public offering (IPO) may qualify for an additional 10 shares funded by the foundation through a separate application.

At the offer price of ₦525 per share, students must pay at least ₦5,250 to subscribe for the initial 10 shares. The foundation will cover the cost of the additional 10 shares for eligible beneficiaries, subject to its terms and conditions.

However, the grant does not guarantee that shares will be allotted under either the student’s personal application or the foundation-funded application.

Who Is Eligible?

According to the initiative’s terms and conditions, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Provide the necessary information for student verification.
  • Have a valid Bank Verification Number (BVN) and complete the required identity verification and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures.

Students should also understand that submitting an application does not automatically mean they will receive shares. Final allotment is subject to the applicable IPO procedures.

The foundation does not guarantee investment returns or an increase in share value. As with other investments, the market value of the shares may rise or fall.

Applicants are advised to use only the official initiative website and designated subscription channel, read the applicable terms and conditions carefully, and avoid individuals who demand money or personal information in exchange for guaranteed access to the grant.
