In commemoration of this year’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Community of Readers is collaborating with Girls Child Potentials Initiative and other organizations to organise a panel discussion on how to eliminate violence against women as we all as film viewing of Oloture.
Olutore is a Nigerian crime drama directed by Kenneth Gyang; In Lagos, a journalist goes undercover as a prostitute to expose human trafficking and finds a world of exploited women and ruthless violence.
Violence against the women and girls is on of the most widespread, persistent and devastating human rights violations in our world today and is a threat to millions of girls and women online and offline.
The panel discussion will feature, Revd Fr Dr Pwakim Gideon of the Saint John Vienney Minor Seminary, Barkin Ladi, Toyin Phyllis Wiggins and Ujin Jossy-Bliss Mallai.
