It’s another campaign season and as Nigerian politicians roll out the political/campaign/electioneering drums, Hon. Ishaku A. Maren (Yobo) is not left out of the struggle to emancipate his people of Bokkos LGA of Plateau State, politically.
Hon. Ishaku A. Maren is a young, vibrant, humble, caring, kind-hearted, intellectually sound, academically sound man, with a great touch of political prowess.
No wonder, he has excelled in many spheres of life, including the academia, where he graduated with a first class degree in Sociology and was also elected at some time as the Youth President of his community, Daffo, where he left an indelible mark on the sands of time.
The memories of his exploits as a Student Union Government (S.U.G.) President at the Plateau State University, Bokkos, from where he later bagged a first class degree, are still fresh. His political exploits at the University made him a household name within and outside Plateau State.
Another special quality of his is his ability to give a listening ear to all and sundry, irrespective of religious, political and ethnic differences, as he has demonstrated such virtue over the years. I have always known him to be a compassionate person, with the fear of God, more so that he has always strived to put the interest of his subjects above his personal interest, which is a key attribute of any good leader. He’s indeed a round peck in a round hole.
It’s indeed a great privilege for the people of Bokkos to have such an erudite scholar and political stalwart step forward to represent us in the Plateau State House of Assembly, where he’s poised to attract projects with direct bearing on the lives of his constituents.
It’s a great opportunity that the good people of Bokkos LGA must not throw away, as certain great opportunities only come, but once.
It was based on this that I recorded this powerful campaign song which summarises Hon. Ishaku A. Maren (Yobo), “the man of the people”…#I am El-Pukison.
