Commodore Isaac Mashingil Mankilik has said his aspiration to represent Plateau Central Senatorial District in the Senate is driven by a desire to serve the people, improve security, and create better living conditions for communities across the zone.
Mankilik stated this during the inauguration of his Ward Coordinators across the five Local Government Areas of Plateau Central, where he charged supporters and party loyalists to remain steadfast and committed to the movement.
According to him, leadership is a divine responsibility that must be used to positively impact lives and bring development closer to the people.
The senatorial aspirant assured supporters of his readiness to provide quality representation that would address the pressing needs of the constituency, especially insecurity which he described as a major concern for communities in Plateau Central.
He noted that his “security first” agenda would focus on protecting lives and property while creating opportunities that would improve the wellbeing of the people.
Mankilik described the newly inaugurated coordinators as “foot soldiers” who would help spread his message of service, unity, and development to the grassroots across the senatorial district.
Stakeholders and supporters at the gathering expressed confidence in his aspiration, describing him as a disciplined and experienced leader whose military background and exposure place him in a strong position to effectively represent Plateau Central in the Red Chamber.
The speakers pledged their support for his ambition and vowed to work towards ensuring victory at the forthcoming APC primaries.
As part of his engagements, Commodore Mankilik and his entourage attended a fundraising service at COCIN RCC Headquarters, Pushit, organized to support victims of recent attacks that resulted in loss of lives and destruction of property worth millions of naira.
Addressing the congregation, he sympathized with the church, the Traditional Council, and the Mwaghavul nation over the attacks, which he described as “senseless, unacceptable, and barbaric.”
He also informed the congregation of his intention to contest for the Senate and appealed for prayers and support for his aspiration. A minute of silence was observed in honour of those who lost their lives during the attacks.
Earlier, Mankilik joined worshippers at COCIN CC Hilltop in his hometown during the “Pastors’ Farm” programme, where prayers were offered for him and his senatorial ambition.
