Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has initiated moves to strengthen unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mutfwang held a strategic meeting with APC candidates and aspirants who participated in the party’s recent primaries, in what was described as an effort to reconcile differences and build stronger cooperation among party stakeholders.
The meeting took place at the New Government House, Rayfield, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The engagement provided an opportunity for the Governor and the party’s candidates and aspirants to discuss areas of concern, promote reconciliation and explore ways of strengthening the party’s structures across Plateau State.
Mutfwang urged stakeholders to look beyond individual interests and work towards the collective interest of the APC and the people of Plateau State.
The meeting also emphasised mutual respect, inclusiveness and shared responsibility as key ingredients for building a stronger and more cohesive political organisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Governor’s initiative is expected to further deepen collaboration among party leaders, candidates, aspirants and other stakeholders as the APC begins preparations for the next general elections.
