In recognition of his outstanding contributions to public service and governance, Hon. Plangji Daniel Cishak, Chairman of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC), was awarded Public Servant of the Year at the prestigious Plateau Man of the Year Awards 2024. The event, which marked its 10th anniversary, was held on February 16, 2025, at Crispan Hotel and Suites, Jos, celebrating 50 remarkable individuals and brands shaping the future of Plateau State.
The ceremony was graced by high-profile dignitaries, including the representative of the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, who was honored as Plateau Man of the Year for his exceptional leadership and contributions to the state’s development.
Hon. Cishak’s leadership at PLASIEC has been instrumental in strengthening democracy in Plateau State. Under his stewardship, the 2024 local government elections were conducted peacefully, transparently, and efficiently, earning him widespread respect across political and civil society groups. His unwavering dedication to electoral integrity and good governance has positioned PLASIEC as a model for credible elections.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Cishak dedicated the award to his hardworking team at PLASIEC, acknowledging their commitment to upholding democratic principles. He also expressed gratitude to his family, particularly his wife and brothers, for their support throughout his journey in public service.
