The Tribe of Ephraim has kicked off a large-scale advocacy walk across the five local government areas of Plateau Central Senatorial District, aimed at promoting good governance and mobilizing grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, and Chief Ephraim Usman.
The movement, which attracted massive participation from supporters across the district, is designed to create awareness and strengthen political engagement ahead of future electoral contests. Organizers say the initiative is also intended to encourage the continuity of the Tinubu and Mutfwang administrations, while advocating for a new direction in Plateau Central’s representation.
Addressing journalists in Bokkos on Sunday, the leader of the movement, Panle Samuel, said the advocacy campaign reflects the growing desire among residents for purposeful leadership and effective representation. He noted that more than 5,000 supporters gathered in Bokkos to demonstrate solidarity with the cause.
Samuel explained that the campaign is projecting Chief Ephraim Usman as a credible alternative for the district, citing widespread concerns over what supporters describe as inadequate representation in recent years.
The advocacy walk also witnessed a significant turnout in Kanke Local Government Area, particularly in Kabwir, where residents openly endorsed President Tinubu and Governor Mutfwang. Participants equally declared their support for Chief Ephraim Usman, describing him as the preferred candidate to champion the interests of Plateau Central.
Organizers disclosed that the campaign will continue across other parts of the senatorial district, including Pankshin, Kanam, and Mangu, as efforts intensify to consolidate grassroots support for good governance, quality representation, and inclusive leadership.
The development signals a growing political momentum within Plateau Central, as stakeholders and supporters rally around a vision centered on continuity, accountability, and renewed representation.
