Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has charged newly appointed Special Advisers and Honorary Special Advisers to demonstrate integrity, accountability and commitment to service delivery in advancing the development of the state.

Mutfwang gave the charge on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, during the swearing-in ceremony of the appointees at Victoria Gowon Hall, New Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos.
The governor said the appointments were aimed at strengthening governance, improving policy formulation and implementation, and bringing additional expertise into the administration.
He urged the appointees to provide timely, evidence-based advice, develop practical solutions to emerging challenges and ensure government policies translate into measurable improvements in the lives of residents.
Mutfwang also cautioned against personal interests and unnecessary rivalries, stressing the need for teamwork, professionalism and loyalty to the collective interest of Plateau State.
Reaffirming his administration’s priorities, the governor identified peace and security as paramount, highlighting efforts to reinvigorate Operation Rainbow, strengthen community-based security and train approximately 1,500 personnel.
He also cited ongoing investments in healthcare, education, agriculture, energy, water supply, sanitation, transportation and road infrastructure, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
The governor expressed concern over the fresh attack in Gyero village, Jos South Local Government Area, urging residents to remain vigilant and provide credible, timely intelligence to security agencies to prevent further attacks.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to rebuilding affected communities, strengthening peace and creating opportunities for residents to live and prosper with dignity.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Chairman of the Plateau State House of Assembly Service Commission, Rt. Hon. Titus Alams, thanked the governor for the confidence reposed in them and pledged that they would not take the opportunity to serve for granted.
Alams said the appointees recognised that their contributions would form part of the legacy of the administration.
Mutfwang concluded by declaring that “the Time Is Now” to deepen the commitment to peace, strengthen institutions, accelerate development and deliver purposeful leadership across Plateau State.
