The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has again reaffirmed his commitment to bequeathing a more united, peaceful and prosperous State.
The Governor gave the assurance at the reopening, rededication and commissioning of the Plateau State Government House Chapel of Grace and Chaplain on Sunday 3rd March, 2024. Gov. Mutfwang said the day is important and significant in the life of the State on account of what God is set to do in the State. He said “God has proposed to do glorious and excellent things on the Plateau. It is time to move Plateau State to the place of Glory and God’s purpose. Plateau State is designated by God as a Platform for the actualization of His plan for Nigeria” While appreciating former Governor Joshua Dariye for the idea of building the Chapel, he admonished the Citizens of the State to eschew bitterness, other unhealthy tendencies and join hands to work towards the progress of the State. He recognized and appreciated the labour of past Leaders of the State.

In a brief but very powerful exhortation, Guest Preacher Bro Gbile Akanni admonished Christians to make God their priority and ensure that God is able to find habitation in their hearts.
While taking his Bible Reading from Psalm 132 Verse 1 to 18 and Psalm 133 Verse 1 to 3, Bro Akanni disclosed that God wants to find habitation in the hearts of the Citizens of Plateau State in order to make His plan actualized. He hinted that God must be prioritised if progress is to be achieved. He urged the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, his Appointees and the Citizens of the State to make their hearts habitable for God.
In his remarks, Rev. Dr. Gideon Para-Mallam declared that the Chapel would be a place of prayer, where new generation of leaders would be mentored and raised. He said the heartbeat of the Governor of Plateau State is focused on accountability and integrity in governance as well as excellence in all aspects of governance and Ministry.
Special prayer for Plateau State and the Nation was jointly offered by Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo, Rev. Dunka Gomwalk and Prophet Isa El-Buba. The consecration and commissioning of the New Chaplain was officiated by Rev. Dr. Panya Baba President Evangelical Church Winning All and National Vice President of CAN. Special rededication prayer was led by Most Rev. Matthew Ishya Audu and Rt. Rev. Dr. Nkechi Nwosu.
Former Governor Jonah David Jang CON, Reverend Father Polycarp Lubo the Plateau State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and others in their Goodwill messages appreciated the event and lean their voices to the need for Christians to Rededicate themselves to serving God. In a joyous commemoration of twenty years of divine blessings through music, the Rhythm of Praise Festival prepares for its significant 20th anniversary edition. Pastor Jerry Ogbeba and King Benny Bello initiated the establishment of the Rhythm of Praise Festival, aiming to create one of the largest gospel music concerts in the Middle Belt and Northern Nigeria. King Benny Bello, representing NUGROOVE Multimedia, disclosed the event specifics of their annual celebration, “Rhythm of Praise Festival,” during a press conference on March 1st, 2024, at Kefiano Creative HUB. He announced that the festival, marking its 20th anniversary, is scheduled for March 24th, 2024, at the renowned 10 Commandments Monument in Dwei Du, Jos.
With the theme “Peace in the Storm,” this edition of the Rhythm of Praise Festival aims to provide a platform for collective worship and supplication in the face of adversity, echoing the sentiments of 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

Plateau State Government have been urged to design a policy framework that will create and provide conducive environment to encourage and bring especially, indigenous industrialists to invest in the state.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the DUNCAN GROUP OF COMPANIES, owner of Plateau Duncan Fertilizer Company, located in Larwin, Heipang, Barkin Ladi LGA, Dr. Godfrey Bawa Shitgurum, MON made the call in Jos the Plateau state capital.
He argued that indigenous entrepreneurs are willing to come home and invest once the Plateau State Government provides the enabling environment.
The policies, according to Dr Shitgurum, should be very friendly for business, with greater government partnership and collaboration, as well as the improvement of the security coverage in the State.
“Many citizens of Plateau State are willing to come home and invest. All they need is the involvement and assurances of the government to carry them along,” Dr Shitgurum said, adding that frequent liaison between Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and the entrepreneurs will also go a long way in encouraging citizens to come home and invest”.
Explaining further, Dr Shitgurum said that involvement means government partnership; waivers on some stringing conditions; the provision of security environment and protection of their properties, in addition to constant interactions with the Governor and his team will go a long way too.
The Chairman noted that once these are done, more companies will spring up in the state, which he said will accommodate and reduce the high number of unemployed people in the state, and by extension, the reduction in crimes and criminality on the Plateau.
Dr Shitgurum assured, that once government involves itself by promoting and strengthening Public Private Partnership (PPP), the participation and establishment of industries by the citizens will be encouraged, in turn begat are resonance effect that attract the participation of non indigenous investors, both Local and foreign, and the gift of natural resources and human capital will be profoundly harnessed on the Plateau in great abundances .
The Chairman of the Duncan Group posited that as a further boast, Government should proffer means of ensuring the return of relative peace in the state, which he said can be achieved if the Governor adopts new and practical security architectures.
According to him, this, will encourage not only indigenous investors, but will attract more businesses to the State by other Nigerians and foreign investors.
